Over het handmatig installeren van een NB-client op een Solaris9 server
– op de NB-master
– in /usr/openv/netbackup/client/Solaris
Staat een directory Solaris9
– doe daar tar cvf sol9.tar Solaris9
– scp de tar sol9.tar naar een solaris9 systeem waarvan je de NB-client wilt upgraden
– pak daar de tar uitclient_bin.tar
– in de directory Solaris9 die je net hebt uitgepakt staat een bestand client_bin.tar.Z
– gunzip client_bin.tar.Z
– in /usr staat openv
– tar deze als backup
tar cvf openv.tar openv
– gzip -9 openv.tar
– kopieer nu client_bin.tar uit de uitgepakte directory Solaris9 naar /usr
– tar xvf client_bin.tar
– in de uitgepakte directory Solaris9 staat een script move_libs
– run dat, (de nieuwe libraries worden nu hernoemd van *_new naar de juiste naam)
– kopieer Solaris9/version naar /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/ en /usr/openv/netbackup/
– kopieer Solaris9/fsanalyze naar /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/
– kopieer Solaris9/tar naar /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/
– kopieer nbj.conf /usr/openv/netbackup/ en /usr/openv/java/
– Maak een bestand /usr/openv/netbackup/nblog.conf

Netbackup weet nu wat en waar er wordt gelogd.
Als je dit commando niet runt krijg je deze foutmelding in de activetylog “Error bpbrm ERR – Error occurred during initialization. Could not read logging configuration file. ” De backup loopt dan wel.
– Controleer nu of de backup het doet en watvoor versie van de client er wordt gerapporteerd door de GUI onder host properties en clients.
Rollback
In geval van dat je een rollback moet doen, kan je /urs/openv moven naar /usr/openv.org oid en restore de orginele /usr/openv met de tar-file openv.tar
